On Saturday, September 26, 11:30 AM, Bob Mayers, author and historian, will speak on The Forgotten Revolution in the Watchung Mountains.  The ridges of the Watchungs were critical to the security of the Continental Army providing a protected route for the allied armies as they passed through many New Jersey towns. Massive troop movements and critical nearby battles saved Washington’s Army from defeat. Watchung History Day also includes Civil War Reenactors and tours of the historic Texier House Museum.
