On  7:30 PM, Bob Mayers will be giving a presentation entitled, “The Forgotten American Revolution in the Watchung Mountains. Was George Washington in your town? The ridges of the Watchungs were critical to the security of the Continental Army and provided a protected route for the allied armies as they passed through many N.J. towns on the march to Yorktown.  You will be amazed at what happened right where you live –Massive troop movements and critical nearby battles that saved Washington’s Army from defeat.  Now these places been forgotten are unmarked, built over, shrouded in mystery, distorted by mythology and unknown even to local people. Water and Wine, Stirling Rd.
